Good Morning Girlfriends!! Okay, we have a little bit of housekeeping: I don't want y'all to panic, this is just a heads-up, over the next few weeks I'm going to (try) transition to a blog version of my Thoughts for the Week only. I know that for some of you, email is the preferred method of transportation for these weekly pick-me-ups, but I promise to make this move as painless as possible. Trust me--it HAS to be easy, or I will not be able to do it in the first place! For now, we will continue as is. I'll keep...

Good Morning Girlfriends! Is anyone else rushing around? I feel like I'm always running--although the type of running I do, doesn't seem to burn very many calories! Jeff and I flew to Florida this past weekend to celebrate my grandparents' 65th wedding anniversary. That kinda makes your breath catch, doesn't it? Sixty-five years. Wow. I could write a completely other Thought just about that! But today, I want to focus on direction...or rather sometimes our lack of. You see, while we were in Florida, we actually had the opportunity to see Jeff's grandparents as well. Ours was an incredibly fast...

What We are About

2BFaithful is a Christian ministry built on the solid foundation that God's only Son, Jesus Christ died on the Cross and rose again for the forgiveness of all of our sins. Jesus tells us in the book of Acts that we are to be His "witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea, and Samaria and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:7,8) We, at 2BFaithful Ministries, believe in reaching as many people as possible through Bible study, prayer, and speaking engagements. We are dedicated to do the job that Christ Himself assigned all Christians to do which is to grow the Kingdom of God.

Where We are Doing

Dallas Louis' first book, Girlfriends, Giggles & God is set to be released in Spring 2011.  This book was written for today's working woman, stay-home mom and every other woman in between!  Did you ever have one of those days?  You know the ones…you keep tripping over the hem in your pants, you roll over your heel of your shoe with your chair at work…again, you can’t stop fighting with your kids…or your spouse?  You are even sure that God has stopped listening to you.  And even if He hasn’t, He will soon because you simply don’t have the time to sit and meet with Him like everyone tells you to.  Besides, who has the time to sit and read  the Bible, anyway?  Between baseball  practices and games, school recitals and homework, and let’s not forget everyone’s favorite shadow…laundry!  Today’s modern woman is running with the wolves just to avoid being trampled by the rest of the pack!  Can the Bible really be all that relevant to you and me anyway?  Hold that thought.

At first, the readers may simply laugh at her mistakes, and by extension: Dallas, herself.  She's perfectly at peace with that!  But as they go through this book, and begin to journal some of their own experiences, some of their thoughts, prayers and concerns—then they will see that God is moving in their lives as well.  She uses the term “God goggles”.  It means that we need to try and view things through His eyes instead of our own.  Our vision is clouded with our own sin, our own past, our own judgments, and the hang-ups that we carry around with us everyday.  How are we going to see other people clearly when we are straining to look through something that is so dirty.  It’s like trying to open your eyes under water without goggles.  But when we try to put ourselves aside, and look at situations and people with a fresh perspective, with our “God goggles” on; we begin to see things much more clearly.  Images become sharp and crisp.  Edges are no longer fuzzy.

Girlfriends, Giggles & God will give women 31 days of laughter at situations that arise in every household across the country, yet somehow manage to make us feel all alone.  And on other days we will laugh through our tears, and be thankful the drama fell on someone else for a change!  But, through all of it we will stand united by our heavenly Father who loves each one of us eternally and unconditionally.  And for that we can all giggle a little more freely!
